Principal's Message

Welcome to Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School. We are proud to continue our service to the Hollywood community for over 105 years now. A vibrant and diverse community, we embrace the arts and environment. Our students participate in a wide range of enrichment around the arts, nature and physical fitness. We serve students TK-6th grade and have two preschool programs on site (CSPP and PAL).

The Cheremoya Foundation is our active parent group and booster club. Parent members support and enrich student exposure to the arts and other learning activities. Our community partners include Hollywood Orchard, Hollywood Arts Council, and the Young Story Tellers among others.

Students benefit from the use of a designated science lab and  two outdoor garden areas. 

 

YS/YDP provides free after-school care and enrichment and there is also a variety of paid after school enrichment classes to choose from. Our main hallway houses our updated Parent Center.

 

Our recent school-wide focus has been on restorative justice practices, cognitively guided instruction math strategies and an early language and literacy plan. For 105 years, Cheremoya is  -a place to shine!
