 Cheremoya Foundation

The Cheremoya Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) parent booster organization that works directly with the school to build community and raise funds used to enrich the Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School student experience. The Cheremoya Foundation was founded in 2009 and is run by volunteers who commit their time and resources to support students, teachers, and administration.

Funds raised by the Cheremoya Foundation are tax deductible and support student enrichment classes such as computer coding, gardening, and PE, as well as campus improvements and historic building maintenance projects.

We deeply value diversity and know how important it is to be reflected in our Board of Directors as much as it is within the school itself. The Cheremoya Foundation is open to anyone interested in joining, and all parents and caregivers of students currently enrolled at Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School are automatically members.

Mission

To provide the support necessary to help ensure that every student who attends Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School receives an exceptional and equitable educational experience.

Vision

Our vision is for the Cheremoya Foundation to create thriving community engagement that contributes to Cheremoya Avenue Elementary being a school known for its excellence and diversity.

Universal Transitional Kindergarten is free and available for all children who have  had their 4th birthday on/by September 1 of the 2023-2024 school year.

Since 1915, Cheremoya Elementary has been serving the extended Hollywood community—providing a nurturing environment for students as they begin their academic journey and embark on the pathways of critical thought that will define their future. Located off the 101 freeway and directly below the Hollywood Sign, Cheremoya is the home public school to UTK-5th grade children of the Beachwood Canyon, Bronson Canyon, and The Oaks neighborhoods. We acknowledge that Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School resides on the ancestral lands of the Tongva and the Chumash.
