What is the Fitness Festival?

Fitness Festival is the Cheremoya Foundation’s annual fundraiser promoting health, fitness, and wellness at Cheremoya Elementary School. Prior to the event, students raise money that funds Got Game Sports P.E. at Cheremoya and other enrichments. On the day of the Festival, students walk, jog, or run through a bubble-filled noodle tunnel onto an obstacle course while being cheered on by friends and other classes. The festivities are led by Got Game's Coach Daniel. It’s one of the most fun-filled days of the school year!

How does it work?  

Use the sponsorship form to make a list of friends, family, and neighbors who support you and would like to help your school. Your sponsors can pay online using the QR code on the form or Zelle  (cheremoyafoundation@gmail.com), cash, or check payable to The Cheremoya Foundation. Please have all donations in by the end of the school day on April 4th so that we can calculate in time for the lucky ticket drawing! For every $10 dollars a student raises they will receive one ticket to the lucky ticket raffle drawing on April 5th during the morning assembly. The more you raise, the better your chances of winning!

Why are we raising money? 

Fundraising is vital to helping the students at Cheremoya Elementary School thrive and succeed. Through donations from sponsors and fundraisers like the Fitness Festival, the Cheremoya Foundation ensures that enrichment programs not paid for by LAUSD, like 9 Dots Coding, Enrich L.A. Gardening, and Got Game P.E., are able to continue at the school. If every student at Cheremoya raised $100 for the Fitness Festival, Got Game would be 100% funded, and the Enrich L.A. Garden Ranger Program would be 50% funded for the entire 2024-2025 school year. It’s a big goal, but we are stars; we dream big and aim high!

Are there any prizes?

YES!  And this year, prizes are better than ever! For the first time in Cheremoya Fitness Festival history, students can win one week at Got Game Summer Camp! Here are the details:

Prizes are to be distributed in the following order:

​

• Most money raised.

• Most total number of sponsors

• Three lucky ticket raffle draws.

• Only one win per student.

• 5 total prizes

Winners can choose from the following prizes:

​

• 1 week at Got Game Sports Camp (1) (Thank You Got Game!)

• 1 Pair of Beats Studio Headphones (1)

• 4 AMC Movie Tickets (1)

• Principal for the Day (2)

In addition:

​

• All students will receive a Fitness Festival t-shirt to wear on April 4th (Thank You, Bryant \ Reichling!)

• Water and snacks will be provided to all students (Thank You, Bryant \ Reichling!)

• Students who reach their fundraising goal of $100 will receive a sheet of 2024 edition Cheremoya vinyl stickers.

• The class that raises the most donations collectively will get to display the Cheremoya Foundation ALL-STAR Trophy in class for the rest of the school year!

• More than anything, we hope all students feel the pride and accomplishment that comes with doing something for your school and your community. Thank you, students!

Approved volunteers are invited, although we might put you to work! Come and help us spread the Cheremoya cheer as we celebrate our student’s achievements.
